We have three featured listings for you today. A K10 1975 Chevy truck, a C/K 2500, and a dump truck. 1975 was a good year for Chevy trucks. A new 185hp small block V8 was added to the line. The grill was redesigned and a new plaid upholstery pattern was added to the base models. Plaid! Are you excited yet because I know I am, so let’s get down to it.
Here we have an ugly yellow 1975 Chevy truck for sale on Craigslist. The owner put a lot of effort into this truck. Restoring it, lifting it, and painting it ugly yellow with an ugly design. The owner claims to have spent $13,000 on this vehicle but is only selling it for $6000. I think he lost the $7000 in value purely on color alone.
Ok, there is more to this 75 Chevy truck than color. It has a 350 engine, flowmaster exhaust, eldebrock carb, and lots of other ins and outs. The most notable of which is a cassette player! Granted there is a 10 disc changer as well but let’s face it, in a couple more years saying something has a cd player is going to elicit as many smiles as saying something has a cassette player. We are basically to that point already. I haven’t bought a cd in at least 3 years but I have lots of new music.
Here we have a snow-packed 1975 Chevy Sierra. The winter was a harsh one this year and my Dodge Challenger had many good times but this truck is lifted and has some nice tires on it so I imagine it fared a bit better. Not much info to go on with this guy but it sold for $500 because it’s not currently running and it needs a new carb. Other than that, we know it has 102,000 miles on it and a V8 engine but that’s all the information the owner listed. The body appears to be in good condition so it may be a great value for someone that can get it running.
Our last listing of the day is a 1975 GMC dump truck priced at $5000. The bed is 14ft long and it has a 350 engine but once again, that is it for information. I think these owners need to learn a bit about sales. At least throw in some fluff to get the reader excited. Say something like it hauls like a dream or it has been a great vehicle. At least say it still runs.
