Lifted Bronco – Classic, Modern, and Wrecked

Ford Broncos are already a classic vehicle that brings fond memories for many people.  But there is something even more special about a lifted Ford Bronco.  Especially when you are talking about the early Bronco models.  They make you feel like you are taking a mountain adventure in a powerful rumbling time machine.  Take a look at this photo of a 1978 Ford Bronco.  Notice the imperfections in this photo.

The faded (or maybe just smudged) edges of this photo give it a dream like quality.  You can imagine the owner holding this in his hands and thinking back to the first time he took his Ford Bronco mudding.  Tearing up the empty fields out in the distant country with no lights around except the ones mounted on his vehicle.

This next photo of a lifted Bronco I feel was taken from a really cool angle.  It gives you a chance to look underneath and see the skyjacker job that they’ve got going on.  And although you can’t see much of the surroundings its got that mountain dessert feel about that I love.

The other thing I like is that you can tell this person really takes their lifted Ford Bronco offroad.  There’s nothing worse than seeing shiny jacked up trucks stuck to a life of highway driving.  What’s the point?  Take that baby out.  Play with a little bit.  Let it breath.  Go out and squash some mountains.  You mean to tell me you got your Ford Bronco lifted up just to impress some suburban teenagers?  For shame.

Ok, this next picture I’m putting on here because wrecks are cool as long as you aren’t involved in them.  Don’t believe me?  Have you ever been a traffic jam only to discover that the slow down is being caused by a bunch of rubber neckers slowing down to look at a wreck that they can barely see because its on the other side of the concrete median?  You know you slowed down trying to see it too.  So slow down for a second and rubber neck this wrecked Bronco 2.

That’s pretty brutal.  I’m not the biggest fan of any Ford Bronco 2 (go big or go home) but this poor little guy deserved better.  I like to imagine what happened to this vehicle in the first place.  Did it tumble down that hill in the background after an ill fated climbing attempt?  Was it used in a demolition derby?  Most likely it was just hauled out there a left to rot, but that’s no fun.  Use your imagination damnit!
