It’s easy to get excited about buying a new 4×4 truck. These trucks are for people that like to work hard and play hard, whether that be hauling some heavy goods or driving across a creek. There are some extra costs associated with 4×4 trucks for sale that don’t normally come into play when shopping for a vehicle. The most obvious one is the 4 wheel drive. It’s much more likely to have issues than a 2 wheel drive system and it’s much more expensive to repair or replace so it’s important to thoroughly inspect the wear and tear that has been put on used 4×4 trucks for sale. The tires have much the same issue. Since they are often bigger on 4×4 trucks, they are going to be more expensive to replace. Usually hundreds of dollars more, so take into consideration the tread left on the tire. Lifted 4×4 trucks for sale exacerbate all of these issues. The tires can be massive, and the modifications can add many more expenses if there is a problem.
Now it’s not often you find monster trucks for sale. And obviously this isn’t the type of monster truck they currently run in arena shows, but it’s pretty damn close to the original show trucks of the 70s. Big Foot was the first monster truck and it didn’t look a whole lot different than this other than it was a Ford body and not a Chevy. This particular truck is listed on ebay and the owner is wanting around $10,000. Take note of the tires. They are 44″ Gumbo tires. The owner claims 95% tread left but they do have a bit of dry rot on them. Now, I have no idea how much new 44″ tires cost but I imagine I would have to take out a new loan on the truck every time the tires needed to be replaced.
For those of you looking to find cheap 4×4 trucks for sale, ebay is a good bet. It’s the easiest place to search for trucks across the country and you can filter your search results by distance and price. If the whole auction thing isn’t for you, trusty Craigslist is standing by, but it’s more geared to local searches so there won’t be as many results.
Here we have a 2003 F350 Monster truck for sale on ebay. The current bid is around $10,000 but it looks like the owner is expecting to get at least $20,000 for it. And it makes sense considering the high price of stock F350s let alone a monster like this. Most of you looking for 4×4 trucks for sale probably aren’t looking for beasts like the two I have listed, but what fun is it talking about normal cars and trucks. This F350 has 54″ tires for God’s sake. The lift is 25″ and the engine is a V10. Naturally this was being used as a show truck before it was listed for sale and I would imagine that it will be used as a show truck again. Could anyone really use this thing to pick up groceries at Walmart?
