If you are looking for used semi trucks for sale, the chances are that you are an owner operator and this truck will be the lifeblood of your business. It’s important to find the right truck for you at the right price. Searching for these trucks online can be beneficial even if you plan on buying one from a dealer. The reason for this is simply research and preparation. But finding out what is available in the marketplace you can get a good idea of the type of truck you want and the type of truck you can afford. This also gives you a negotiating advantage at the dealer because you will know what similar used semi trucks are selling for elsewhere. If you don’t know where to begin that’s ok because we have collected three semi trucks for sale online to get you started.
Our first semi truck for sale we found on Craigslist in Colorado. It’s a 2004 Mack Vision listed for $35,000. It has 650,000 miles on it but there isn’t any other information except for contact info. From the little that we can see it appears to be in good condition. Check out the interior in the picture below.
Again from what we can see it appears to be in good condition. I really don’t know anything about semi trucks and have never driven one you can come to your own conclusions on these. I do know that will need insurance so you might want to check out our semi truck insurance page.
Our next semi truck for sale by owner is a 2005 Peterbilt 379 located in Oklahoma City. We found this one on Craigslist as well.
The Peterbilt semi is listed for $65,000 and comes with a 2009 Flatbed trailer. The engine is a C-15 Caterpillar 18 speed with 550 horsepower and 785,000 miles. The sleeper bed is a 70″ double bunk with a fridge. The flatbed comes with all the necessary equipment like straps, tarps, chains, binders, etc. Again, I know nothing about semis but to me, this one looks fancy. That’s what truckers care about right? Fancy.
The last of our semi trucks for sale was once again found on Craigslist. Please keep in mind that by the time you read this there is a good chance that the truck has sold or the listing has expired which is why I’m not providing links to all of them. Don’t worry though, there are plenty more trucks available.
Anyway, this 1990 Kenworth semi is not in great condition and would need some restoration. The owner only wants $5500 for it which pales in comparison to our other two trucks but honestly this truck physically pales in comparison to our other two. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be great for the right person.
