1968 Chevy trucks saw few design changes over the 67. Due to new federal regulations every 68 Chevy truck now came with side reflectors on the fenders. The engines on these trucks were upgraded a bit. An option of a 307 cubic inch or a 396 cubic engine replaced the previous years’ 283 cubic inch V8. This was also Chevy’s 50th anniversary so an anniversary truck with an exclusive white and gold paint scheme was released. However, none of this information really matters as the two trucks I have listed here today are anything but the standard 1968 Chevy truck.
This 1968 Chevy truck for sale on ebay has been chopped and modified into the beautiful hot rod you see before you. I’m not sure it contains any original 1968 Chevy truck parts, but that won’t stop me from listing the parts it does contain.
First things first. This truck has been chopped 5 inches and the body lowered 3 inches. It has been equipped with NOS. The engine is a one of a kind 383 small block that tested out at 495 horse power. The engine looks fantastic as well as it has been chromed. This 1968 Chevy pickup also contains a 3″ flowmaster exhaust system, 700R4 transmission, power disk brakes, chrome rally wheels, new leather seats, chrome steering column with matching steering wheel, and electric windows.
As you can see, this truck doesn’t have an original part left in it’s body but anyone in the market for a street rod should be quite happen with the work that has been done. The retro body, however modified, really makes it a great looking vehicle and possibly a show truck.
I’ve listed this 1968 Chevy dump truck just because it’s different from the norm. I don’t stumble across retro dump trucks for sale very often and this one happens to still work. The owner wants $2700 for it and says it hauls 350 bushels. I’m not a farmer so I’m assuming that’s 350 bushels of hay. The model of this truck is a 1968 Chevy C50 and the engine is a 292 6 cylinder which is a bit surprising. I would have guessed it would have a V8 engine to haul all of that weight around. The crazy side of me has always wanted to buy a vehicle like this even though I have no use for it. I just really want to take it grocery shopping at Walmart. Lord only knows why.
